How it works
How your chart is calculated
Add the whole birth date as one sum
Your Life Path is your birth date added straight through, then reduced. November, the 11th and the 22nd are added whole. Reduction stops at the master numbers 11, 22, 33 and 44.
Give each letter of your birth name its value
Each letter carries its Pythagorean value, A through I as 1 through 9, repeating from J. All letters give your Expression, the vowels your Soul Urge, and the consonants your Personality. Y is a vowel unless a vowel follows it in the word.
Read the day and the year you are in
Your Birth Day is the day of the month you were born, with the 11th, 22nd and 29th kept as 11 or 22. Your Personal Year runs birthday to birthday, so it changes on your birthday, not on January 1.
Combine for what you grow into
Your Maturity number is your Life Path plus your Expression, reduced with masters kept. Any core number that passes through 13, 14, 16 or 19 on the way down carries a Karmic Debt.

The method
Why your number may differ on other sites
Most calculators take a shortcut: they reduce your birth month, day and year separately, then add the three. They also stop at two master numbers, 11 and 22. The Healer's Code adds your whole birth date straight through as one sum and keeps all four master numbers, 11, 22, 33 and 44. A November birth month and an 11th or 22nd birthday are added whole, never split. Keeping the masters is the harder calculation, and it is the one this engine was built to do.

The method draws on more than one tradition. The letter values behind your name numbers are the Pythagorean ones, A through I counting 1 through 9. Reading a date as one whole sum follows the spirit of Kabbalah's gematria, where a Hebrew word's letters are added into a single value and read as a whole. Master numbers are a modern Western addition, carried through the New Age teachings, which most often name only 11 and 22. Brian cross-references these traditions against his own system, and that is where 33 and 44 hold their place.

Which name should I use?
Use your full name exactly as it was given at birth, including middle names. A married name or nickname describes the person you present now; the birth name is the blueprint the core numbers are read from.
Why is my Life Path different on another site?
Most calculators reduce the month, day and year separately and stop at the master numbers 11 and 22. The Healer's Code adds the whole date as one sum and keeps all four masters, 11, 22, 33 and 44, so some dates give a master here and a single digit elsewhere.
Is my information stored?
Your name and birth date are kept only in this browser, so the site can remember your chart. Nothing is sent to us unless you ask, for example to email your numbers to yourself. You can clear them at any time.
